Introduction

Since 1993, the Iringa International School has always strived to serve the needs of Iringa’s local and expatriate community by providing a school where teaching and learning take place in a safe and welcoming environment. Since that time Iringa has grown quite a bit and so has its needs. One of the most pressing needs for families with young children was for affordable daycare, and once again, IIS delivers.

The Iringa International School has recently established full-time daycare for children aged 1.5 to 3 years old. IIS has learned that such a service is in demand and needed by both our local and expatriate communities. Our facilities provide ample space for quality care, learning and play. Our years of experience with preschool-age children will truly help to establish our daycare as a viable early learning centre, as students matriculate from class 1-year to 3-years.

What is the required age for admission?

The minimum age is 1.5 years and the maximum age is 3 years.

Required Staff

Two Day Care Teachers with a 2:15 ratio. This ratio means two teachers for every 15 students/children.

Fees Structure

The Annual Fee is $1,074.00

Flexible Payment Structure/Schedule

One-time payment in full equals $1,074 USD.
Trimester payments of $358 USD (payments will be made at the beginning of each term)
- 1st Payment due August 2022
- 2nd Payment due January 2023
- 3rd Payment due April 2023
Monthly Payment equals $107.40. Monthly payments are due at the beginning of the month. Must be paid by the 5th of the month.
Late Fee of $10 if not paid by the 5th day after the payment due date (If the fee is not paid, the child cannot attend daycare.

Curriculum

Children, aged 2.5 to 3 years will be taught the basics of counting, letters, numbers, colours and shape recognition. While 1.5 to 2.5 will be taught basic art activities including colouring, tracing, drawing and painting. Students will also participate in physical play by way of recess on a designated age-appropriate playground.

8:00AM – 3:00PM (Monday – Thursday)
8:00AM – 12:30PM (Friday)
As a Day Care, we operate from 8:00 am to 3 pm Monday to Thursday and on Fridays from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm. Parents are flexible to drop off and pick up their kids at any time between those operation times.
