I am Upendo Mrikaria, the School Administrator and Business Manager for the Iringa International School. Prior to my employment at the IIS, I worked as an administrator in various academic institutions of higher learning. This experience gave me a genuine appreciation for the value of a quality education. My personal education includes a Master degree in Human Resource Management and a Bachelor degree in Business Administration.
Although my prior experience was with institutions of higher learning, it wasn’t until I began my work with the Iringa International School, that I realized the need for a good educational foundation, must be established at the primary and secondary levels. This is why I am so passionate about the proper managing of the school’s critical business needs like timely payroll processing, consistent facilities maintenance, adequate replenishing of teacher and student supplies and the maintaining of proper legal documents. Each of these responsibilities help to ensure that teachers and students can focus on the business of teaching and learning.
